NATURAL AND UNPOSED WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT HAYNE DEVON
Becca & John got married on a beautifully colourful day in May at the lovely Hayne in the heart of the Devon countryside. I love weddings at Hayne and there is just something quite special about this area of Devon and Hayne with its walled beautiful gardens.
The cottage itself offers various rooms and spaces suitable for prep and family members, receptions and other wedding related events. The ceremony in the garden is such a cool spot to get wed whilst providing a picturesque setting for documentary wedding photography.
This wedding was super relaxed and such a joy to be a part of, several years ago I shot Donna & Connie’s wedding at the same venue and it had a similar feel to the day, there was lots of orange that day too!

Shortly after the ceremony we organised an incredible confetti shot with a super long tunnel of guests. The sun was shining, the sky was clear for part of the day and the colours were bright and vivid. Drinks in the gardens and barn followed with everyone lapping up the love and listening to Tim and his band, Tim is one of the owners of Hayne and often appears to provide some music, on this day they did the evening too. We spent a brief amount of time doing some portraits in the gorgeous surrounding gardens.
The speeches were lovely with tears and laughter coming from every table. I just love all the colours in the photos captured during this time and the wedding generally. Becca & John did their wedding their way, with the bare minimum of formality wanting more of a party to share the fun and love. Along with their two girls they had the most amazing day. When it came to the evening the whole family got into the spirit of the party. I really enjoyed this wedding and hope you like the images.

Mike was incredible from start to finish. When we first spoke to him, we knew he was the photographer for us! His energetic, friendly and professional approach is everything you want in a photographer. On the day of our wedding, Mike mingled with guests as if a guest himself, meaning he could capture some extraordinary photos of our friends and family in the documentary style that we wanted. His photos are second to none. They capture our wedding from the ceremony to the evening party and have been a joy to look over again and again. I’m so in love with all the pictures he took – it’s going to be difficult to decide which ones to print! Thank you, Mike, for being the best photographer we could have asked for.
