Lucy and Dan’s elegant black-tie wedding at the beautiful Ash Barton Estate in North Devon was nothing short of spectacular. Set against the golden backdrop of an October afternoon, their celebration was the perfect blend of classic style, heartfelt moments, and a touch of countryside charm.

The couple began their day with a traditional ceremony at St Brannock’s Church in Braunton. This historic church, known for its character and beautiful stained glass, set a meaningful and serene tone for the day. Surrounded by close family and friends, Lucy and Dan exchanged vows under the warm light of the autumn sun streaming through the windows.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to Ash Barton Estate, a much-loved North Devon wedding venue nestled in 50 acres of rolling countryside. Famous for its relaxed atmosphere and exclusive use policy, Ash Barton provided the perfect canvas for the couple’s vision of a formal yet intimate celebration.

Upon arrival, guests were welcomed into the estate’s walled garden, where live acoustic music played and drinks flowed. The speeches took place alfresco, lending a casual elegance to the afternoon. Surrounded by high brick walls, climbing roses, and the gentle sounds of laughter and clinking glasses, the garden created a private and romantic setting for heartfelt toasts and memorable stories.

As the sun began to set, the celebration moved into full swing. Every moment was captured by me Mike Wells Photography and as usual I documented the emotion, style, and atmosphere of the day with my natural, documentary style.

With fairy lights twinkling overhead and music filling the air, the reception was a joyful celebration that continued late into the night. Ash Barton’s spacious reception areas gave guests plenty of room to dance, mingle, and enjoy the evening in true black-tie fashion.
