Indian Wedding Photography Devon
Weddings at the oshwal centre
Weddings are unique and I want to create beautiful natural images that are especially unique to you. I was honoured to be asked to work with Sher Ali of I-maani Photography at this wedding at The Oshwal Centre. He & his wife Shital are a well established Indian Wedding photography team based just outside London. Sher and I met last year in Romania on a workshop presented by the ever awesome Twomann Studios and we’d chatted about helping each other at a wedding. He having never shot a non Indian wedding and me having never shot an Indian one. We finally got round to organising one, this time, me going to him to shoot the wedding of Bhairav & Kajal. He has yet to repay the favour but we’ll get there one day I hope.
My aim as a photographer is to create a visual story of your wedding day to take you back and remind you of how you felt and I hope the above I’ve done exactly that, I loved the The Oshwal Centre. This was an amazing day with all the colour and vibrancy of the wardrobe. The detail of Kajal’s dress. The detail of the ceremony, so many little ceremonies and traditions are present in each indian wedding depending on where the families originate from in India.
My Style at the oshwal centre
I try to make my approach to every wedding as personal as possible a little difficult this time round as I just turned up having never met or talked to the couple. But because my photography style is much like journalism I stayed in the background and shot the day like I would any other. Sher and Shital taking the lead and me shooting whatever resonated with me, the families, the moments and the little details, of which there are tons at Indian weddings. I like to capture authentic moments, without distracting you or your guests. So being a second shooter on this day that was even easier than normal.
It’s a privilege doing what I do, and few things give me more pleasure than showing someone the photos from their big day, transporting them straight back into those memories, some of the most precious they will ever have. Whether I’m working as a Devon wedding photographer, or on the road shooting destinations around the country, I just want to do your day – and your love – justice.
I had an amazing time shooting a wedding at The Oshwal Centre in Potters Bar. If you’re planning on having an Indian wedding in Devon, or anywhere else in the world, then please get in touch. I’d love to hear all about it and have the opportunity to be your Wedding Photographer.
