CROWCOMBE COURT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Stephanie & Andrew
This wedding was a bit last minute, well, from my perspctive anyway. Chris, their videographer, had asked them who their photographer was and they said they didn’t have one, only him to shoot the film? A slightly confused Chris said he thought it might be a good idea to have a tog and after a little discussion they did too. So, with only five weeks to go Chris rang and asked if I was available for their wedding. Chris and I always work really well together and people have asked if we are related due our bald heads and tattooed arms. I’ll say now, we’re not.
I’d never been there before, to be honest I think it had totally been missed off of my radar. I was in for a treat, its a stunning house with a very grand entrance and beautiful gardens.
Happy Bride and Groom
Stephanie and Andrew were very chatty and welcoming on both the zoom prior and on the day itself. Something that I have never done was a pre wedding bride only shoot. Stephanie, a former fitness model, had asked to do a photoshoot of just her prior to the ceremony. Taking her and her entourage on a little tour of the house prior to the ceremony. At one point she even, with a little help from bridesmaids and Chris, climbed up above the stairwell for what is a well known Crowcombe photo on the window sill, of course I put my own spin on it.
With the ceremony in the garden on one of the hottest days of the year the wedding went off without a hitch. It was brilliant afternoon in the sunshine. Having only booked me for a half day I didn’t get to stay for the party antics but according to Chris they had a great time. However, plenty of good stuff happened in the afternoon post ceremony, the usual drinks, canapés and group photos, confetti followed by not so usual plate smashing.
A Happy Coincidence
I’ll finish with a kind strange coincidence that happened at the wedding. A couple of weeks before this wedding I met with another couple about their wedding. The groom to be, Chris, said his big brother was getting married soon and that they had only just booked a photographer, turns out that was me! I didn’t twig until the day when I was stood in the hallway photographing the guests, that I recognised one of them, Chris, and his wife to be, Liz. What are the chances.

Thanks to Stephanie & Andrew. You and your guests made me feel so welcome from the moment I arrived. It was a genuine honour to be a part of the day.
