Ilfracombe wedding
jordan & sarah
wedding at laston house
Jordan & Sarah’s Ilfracombe wedding at Laston House was my first at this venue, mainly because they don’t usually do weddings. The only reason they held this day here was because Jordans step mum is the owner of this brilliant spot and her Dad Rich is a mate of mine. Early last year Rich had mentioned his daughter Jordan was getting married and that we, my wife and I, were invited to the evening part of the day. I asked if they wanted a photographer offering my services as at that point I was available for their day in July. A few weeks later I was out for a pint with Rich and mentioned it, he said the girls had a friend of a friend who was going to do the photos, fair enough.
Last minute change of plan
Literally a few weeks before the wedding my phone rang, it was Rich. “Hey Mike, don’t suppose you’re still available for Jordans wedding are you, I am”. As I guessed might happen the friend of a friend had bottled it and had changed their mind, shocker.
Sunny afternoon in ilfracombe
It really was a beautiful sunny day in Ifracombe, Laston overlooks the sea with some great views. The couple and everyone else had a fantastic few hours in the summer sunshine and I was with them for just a few hours to get the main parts of the day, the ceremony, the hugs, the smiles, the speeches and a few minutes with Jordan and Sarah for some portraits of just the two of them. I left them to it after speeches and they then headed over to Larkstone for their evening soiree where Karley and I joined them for a dance, a pint, and a catch up with friends, good times.
