Best Of 2023

Another wedding season has come and gone and it was again a busy year of weddings for me. I travelled the over the South West from the North Devon coast to the Southern Cornish shores. There’s been elopements with just bride and groom to full on all day parties with hordes and everything in between. I guess its a bit late in the year to do a Best Of from last year but hey, now its done and ready for your viewing pleasure!

In November, I celebrated winning a second Fearless Award, fingers crossed for another in 2024 It is in first time I’ve entered in a few years and I was delighted to come away with another pat on the back from fellow photographers who judge the awards.

A big thank you to the couples who trusted me to capture their wedding day – it is always such an honour. 2023 saw me break into the 300+ club of weddings photographed, can’t really believe its been that many but I forget I’ve been shooting for almost 20 years.

The process of going through an entire year’s worth of weddings and picking out images that stand out is always tough. I delivered 9814 images in 2023 to 27 couples so you can see how tough it is to pick. Sometimes you just know that a certain image will make it into your favs as soon as you take it! I choose photos that make me feel an emotion or tell a story without words. I hope you get that feeling too, not of how it looked but how it felt.
